The Beast Retreats

After the tornado had crossed the road and dissipated, we found ourselves almost stuck on a muddy road leading nowhere. We got out, it was just that by now, the road was already closed due to the power lines being down, and the domino effect began. Several wrong moves later, we found ourselves between the wedge that everyone else saw and the hail core getting battered by RFD (rear flank downdraft). Definitely one of my scarier chasing moments. I take solace in the fact that about 12 chasers got stuck in the mud trying to run from it as well, including Reed Timmer and his Dominator. That always puts a smile on my face because I REALLY don't like him. I swear, he's going to be the death of storm chasing. I just know it.
